our values

We value the KINGDOM OF GOD.    We aim to align ourselves with God’s reign, brought about by God's initiatives and actions, to fulfill God's purposes.

We value BEING SPIRIT LED.  We strive to do things the Lord leads us to do through the guidance and direction of the Spirit of God.  We acknowledge Jesus as the Head of our church and actively depend on the Spirit’s counsel.

We value BIBLICAL DISCIPLESHIP.  We seek to develop mature followers of Jesus through meaningful relationships rooted in the biblical witness. We teach believers to believe and obey Jesus’ words and deeds as the supreme model of allegiance to God.

We value PROPHETIC CHRISTIANITY.  We follow in the tradition of Jesus and the Hebrew prophets in being a voice for the voiceless and witnessing against wrongs and injustices of any kind.

We value SERVANT LEADERSHIP.  We believe in Jesus’ model of leadership of exercising authority in humility, love, and service to God and others.  

We value EMPOWERMENT.  We endeavor to extend mercy and compassion while developing transforming initiatives to help people walk in freedom from any form of oppression. 

We value LIBERATION AND RESTORATION.  We believe Jesus came to preach good news to the poor, oppressed, and to set the captive free and to restore brokenness with wholeness. 

We value PARTICIPATING WITH GOD. We believe in God’s mission and make every effort individually and corporately to join the things we sense God calling us to participate in.  We are committed to Africa and planting churches. 

We value RECONCILILATION.  We actively seek the restoring of relationships with God and humanity, person to person, and communities and nations by walking in awareness, repentance, and forgiveness in order to bridge new life together.

We value being a COVENANT COMMUNITY OF JUSTICE.  We make every effort to be a healthy and authentic community of faith grounded in love and kindness where relationships are restored and the greater good of others and God’s will prevails.

We value TRANSFORMATION INTO CHRISTLIKENESS.  We believe our minds, thoughts, and actions must continuously be changed to align with Jesus’ ways. 

We value CULTURAL EDUCATION.  We embrace historical and cultural education for the strengthening and development of personhood.  

We value RELEVANCE.  We strive to address real and relevant issues pertinent to the world we live in and seek biblical insight and wisdom to provide guidance and direction for living.
