giving kids wheels of joy
Do you remember the thrill of getting your first bike? The sure excitement alone was probably enough to make you almost crash into something. Hope was excited to share this joy by blessing children with bikes and helmets.
One of the
third grader who was blessed with a brand new bike wrote us a thank you letter
and asked the question, "Hope, do you spend all of your money on us?" The answer is obviously no. However, from this child's perspective she
truly questioned this because she had experienced a loving church community
that provided weekly support and encouragement by visiting her class, having pizza
parties, working on arts and crafts projects and now she had just received her
first mode of transportation along with some other gifts. Hope is thankful for all of our friends and
partners that helped to make this bikes 4 kids initiative a great success. We were able to donate bikes to an entire
third grade classroom with a wonderful Christmas party and affirm them and
their families with love and support. Thanks!
